Ever wondered what a typical day in DTS (Discipleship Training School) looks like? From quiet mornings with God to engaging classes, vibrant community, and powerful worship, each day is full of growth, connection, and adventure. Though, being in Asia, flexibility is key. Things can shift, plans can change, and that’s all part of the adventure. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect on a normal day during your DTS journey. Let’s jump inside a DTS day.
DTS Schedule
7:00 AM – Breakfast
Eat something good. Hydrate.
7:30 AM – Quiet Time
This is your personal time with God. Journal, read Scripture, pray, or just sit and connect.
8:35 AM – Walk to Class
About a 20-minute stroll. Great time to chat with a roommate, throw on a worship playlist, or just enjoy the city vibes. (Sunrises and coffee recommended.) It will be very WARM!
9:00 AM – Morning Sessions
Here’s what mornings look like:

Mon/Wed/Fri: Worship + devotionals

Tues/Thurs: Intercession (praying for nations, situations, real needs)
10:00 AM – Class Time
Teaching kicks off — topics range from hearing God’s voice, identity in Christ, missions, the Father heart of God, and more.
11:15 AM – Break
Yes, there’s coffee. Yes, there are snacks. Yes, it’s tasty.
12:45 PM – Lunch
Fuel up — and here’s where Malaysia shines!

Food court: Chinese noodles, Cantonese noodles, or Char Kway Teow (smoky, spicy, prawns and flavour!).

Turkish kebabs, McDonald’s (we won’t judge), or

Local Indian mamak — Maggi Mee + egg, rice and curry… so many options. They serve Roti Cannai after about 3pm
2:00 PM – Free Time / Track Time
Most days = free time. Rest. Nap. Journal. Strum that guitar. Play some cards or Perudo (fun dice game)

Tuesdays = Track Time:
Choose a focused session based on your passion (e.g., Adventure, Worship, Media).-
Adventure Track: 2–7 PM (Do some fun activities. Sometimes a drive away).

Other tracks: 2–3:30 PM. (Have fun and it’s nearby in AC)

5:00 PM – Clean Up / Dinner Prep
Everyone pitches in. Keeps things smooth and communal. Tidy spaces = peaceful places.
6:00 PM – Dinner
Chill meal. Homemade
7:30 PM – Evening Sessions
Each night brings something different:
