What is the YWAM Trailblaze School?
YWAM’s Trailblaze School is an intensive 5-month course that equips you to share the Gospel in powerful and culturally relevant ways. First, the program begins with 11 weeks of classroom teaching, providing you with practical skills, hands-on experience, and deep spiritual growth. Following this, you will spend 8 weeks on outreach, applying what you’ve learned in real-world settings and gaining the tools you need to serve and grow spiritually. You will go to Asia and Africa. In doing so, you’ll become more prepared for meaningful ministry in diverse cultural contexts.
What is an SOE?
- We like to call it a Traiblaze School.
Throughout the Trailblaze School, you will gain essential skills in cross-cultural communication, apologetics, and contextualized ministry tools. Specifically, you will learn how to tell impactful stories, build meaningful relationships, and address common questions with respect. Most importantly, you will put these tools into action as you go out and share the Gospel, thus refining your skills and broadening your ministry approach. - Spiritual Growth and Character Development
This course isn’t just about acquiring new skills; rather, it’s about deepening your walk with God. As you journey through the program, you will grow in personal devotion, character formation, and reliance on the Holy Spirit. Moreover, our vibrant community of passionate Gen Z believers will inspire you to strengthen your faith and live out God’s calling in all aspects of life. Through this process, you will build a stronger foundation in your spiritual life. - Hands-On Experience
The Trailblaze program emphasizes active outreach, so you’ll get plenty of opportunities to engage in trips and local ministry efforts. This hands-on experience is crucial to developing a deep understanding of different cultures and a greater appreciation for their unique perspectives. As a result, you’ll learn how to effectively minister and share the love of Jesus in relevant ways, thus making a lasting impact.

What qualifications do I need?
To apply, you simply need a completed Discipleship Training School (DTS) with YWAM and a passion for continuing your journey with God. Additionally, a heart for ministry is essential to thrive in the program.
How long does the Trailblaze Course last, and what is the cost?
The course starts on March 24th and ends on August 1st, 2025. The lecture phase costs $1200 USD, and the outreach phase costs $1000 USD (excluding flights). Consequently, the total cost is both affordable and comprehensive for such a transformative experience.
