Lecture phase of YWAM DTS and Trailblazer School of Evangelism (SOE) wraps up

It’s hard to believe how quickly the time has passed. We blinked and the YWAM DTS and SOE lecture phases wrapped up. We ended the season with celebration — good food, some laughter, and even a bit of line dancing. Looking back, we’re grateful for all that God has done.  Students arrived months ago and didn’t know what to expect at a YWAM DTS, but they’ve since experienced a growing passion for God and desire to reach out.

Discipleship Training School (DTS): A Season of Growth

When students first arrived, many weren’t sure what to expect at a YWAM DTS. They came from different backgrounds, some just finishing school, others taking a gap year — but they were looking for purpose and to make a difference. 

Throughout this Christian discipleship and evangelism training, they explored topics like God’s character, hearing His voice, identity in Christ, and missions. There were small groups, city outreaches, worship times, and practical sessions — all helping them grow in confidence and clarity about their faith and meant to help them know God and make Him known.

This YWAM DTS gave them space to slow down (still packed though), ask honest questions, and discover how faith connects with everyday life.

Trailblazer School of Evangelism (SOE): Equipped to Live and Share the Gospel

The Trailblazer SOE is built to stretch and prepare students for real-world ministry. It’s a space to learn how to communicate the Gospel clearly, live it out, and think deeply about culture, mission, and the world.

Some of the key topics included:

• Worldview and cultural understanding

• The biblical foundation of evangelism

• The power of personal testimony

• Spiritual warfare and prayer

• The Holy Spirit’s role in missions

Every week involved hands-on outreach, prayer, worship, and class projects via Google Classroom. This evangelism school for Gen Z ywamers designed to be practical –  discipleship and outreach. Now onto outreach!

Living in Community

At YWAM Experience Asia, students in DTS and SOE live and learn in a Christian missions community. They share meals, pray together, serve each other, and spend time building friendships across cultures.

This day-to-day rhythm of life helps shape character and deepens faith in ways that don’t happen in isolation. Many leave with lasting friendships and a clearer sense of where they fit in God’s bigger story.

Looking Ahead: Outreach in Southeast Asia

Our outreach teams will soon be heading into Southeast Asia to serve alongside local ministries, support churches, and share the hope of Jesus. It’s one of the best parts of the school — stepping out, depending on God, and seeing Him work in unexpected ways. AND HAVING FUN along the way.
